About

Tampa Theological Institute was formerly Suwannee River Bible College of Live Oak, Florida.  Started in 2007, the burden for a Bible college with an emphasis on local church methods was the original motive behind the college and it has been a successful expedition.

As the ministry relocated to the Tampa Bay area, the need to change the name was apparent.  Suwannee River Bible College became Tampa Theological Institute in 2018.


A second campus location was added to Tampa Theological Institute at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Spring Hill, FL in 2019.  This campus has a full offering of courses and is under the direction of Pastor Richard Rossiter.


In 2020 Tampa Theological Institute added a broader emphasis and became Tampa Theological Institute & Tri-State Seminary.  Cooperating campuses in Florida, Georgia and Alabama partnered to offer college and seminary level training.

Tampa Theological Institute & Tri-State Seminary is a conservative Christian college operated by the Brandon Baptist Tabernacle in Brandon, Florida.  We have determined that anything that is not connected directly to a local church has a brief shelf life.  Through the evident blessings that God has showered down on Brandon Baptist Tabernacle, the college and seminary  benefit from the direct byproducts of local church emphasis.
